The Club:

VAG Junks is a club that includes all VAG models/brands.

The club will participate in both its own member events and other events in various countries.

Each member is personally responsible for any accidents or traffic violations caused by him/her during any activity.

The club is in no way responsible or liable.

Participation in activities is entirely at the participants’ own risk. The club cannot be held liable for any loss, theft, damage, or injury sustained during any of the activities.

Bringing children to club activities is entirely the responsibility of the respective parent/guardian/participant.

Registration, driver's license, and insurance documents must be presented upon request by a board member.

Board meetings are held regularly, on average every three months.

The treasurer will present and explain the financial status, and a report of the meeting will be made. This report will be shared with the members after the meeting.

Member meetings are organized by appointment with the board and take place at least once per year.

Our club was founded to build a good image, not to become notorious. Any form of vandalism, fighting, intoxication, or drug use during activities will result in immediate exclusion from the club.

The board reserves the right to terminate the membership of anyone who does not comply with these rules at any time.

Membership Fee:

Membership fees must be paid by January 15 of the upcoming year.

If not received on time, the member will be removed from the membership list and the club.

The fee is €30 per family per year for registrations up to and including September 30. People wishing to join after October 1 can do so for a reduced fee of €15 for the remainder of the year.

A one-time administrative fee of €7.50 is added for new memberships upon joining.

If the membership fee is not paid within the given deadline and you still want to remain a member, the administrative fee will be charged again.

Membership Benefits:

  • Club sticker and air freshener upon joining (not annually)

  • Discounts at various sponsors (listed on the website)

  • Customizable portfolio on the website

  • Higher chances of being selected for club-approved events

  • Annual member event

  • And much more…

Tours / Meetings:

During a drive, a route leader will always drive at the front and must be followed to avoid irregularities or racing.

At event visits, all participants are expected to be present at the agreed time and refueled if necessary to avoid extra stops.

No one is obligated to participate in activities.

Group driving is done in a safe convoy.

Everyone is expected to regularly check if the person behind them is still following, especially at intersections.

If someone falls behind, the last driver should wait or slow down so followers know which direction to take.

If the group splits (e.g., at traffic lights or due to unexpected events), the route leader will be alerted via horn or walkie-talkie and will stop where possible. Once everyone has caught up, the leader will be informed and the drive can continue.

To avoid group splits, everyone should try to stay close. It is hardest at the back of the group.

Slower drivers are encouraged to drive near the front so the route leader can adjust the pace.

Anyone having trouble keeping up may be asked by the leader to move forward in the group (after a stop).

When overtaking, everyone waits their turn—for example, on the highway, only pass when reaching the vehicle to overtake.

The front driver signals early for any direction change so others can follow or merge safely.

Blocking roads is officially allowed in Belgium by motorcycles wearing a fluorescent vest labeled "Wegkapitein" and carrying a C3 sign. As our car club does not have this during a drive, any road-blocking is at one's own risk and everyone must act cautiously.

Members are free to leave earlier or drive home together as they prefer.

It is best to stay with the group when possible.

If someone breaks down, they will be assisted by other participants as much as possible (e.g., technical help or calling roadside assistance).

Depending on the seriousness of the issue, decisions will be made on the spot.

WhatsApp:

The community is divided into several groups for clarity.

Please use the correct group. If things get out of hand, admins may kindly remind users to use the appropriate one.

  • “Announcements” – for important info shared by the admins

  • “General chat” – for all kinds of casual conversation

  • “Photos/videos of meetings” – to share media after events

  • “Meetings” – to plan and discuss event attendance

  • “Member events” – for organizing private events

  • “Technical help” – for all your technical questions

  • “For Sale / Wanted” – to offer or request items

Board Members:

For publication in the Belgian Official Gazette, a fee of €165 is required. Each change in board composition requires a new publication and payment of the current fee of €165.

By accepting your board membership, you commit for the entire year. If you choose to resign, this can only be done at the end of the calendar year (January 1 to December 31).

The administrative costs for publishing changes to the board are borne by the club. However, if you are dismissed for compelling reasons, you are personally responsible for the publication costs at that time.

Any concerns or questions can be directed to the board (anonymously if needed) via email, phone, or in person, and will be discussed at the next board meeting. Decisions will then be communicated to the involved member, and to all members if necessary.

Rules:By joining the club, every member agrees to these rules and is expected to be familiar with them. The rules may be amended at any time by the board.

Did you know? In many European countries, organizing car convoys or motorcades requires specific legal permissions—especially if you intend to stop or block traffic. It's always worth checking local traffic law before large events!
